3 Simple Ways to Elevate Your Morning Routine by Beth Daley

It's no secret that mornings can be stressful: You've got a million things on your to-do list, your alarm won't stop ringing and all you want to do is roll over and go back to sleep for just a few more minutes.

But all of this can be transformed with just a few simple tweaks. Keep on reading to discover 3 simple ways that won’t just help you to elevate your morning routine, but encourage you to actually stick to it.

1. Spend 5 Minutes Practising Gratitude

Celebrating the things that you’re grateful for is more beneficial than you might think. Tomorrow morning when you wake up, take a moment to practise gratitude. Whether through praying, journaling or meditating, you’ll find that it sets a peaceful and positive tone for the day ahead. Aah.

Tip: If you’re not sure where to start, why don’t you begin by identifying 3 things that you’re grateful for? From your friends to your job - it can be anything at all.

2.Take a Moment to Press Pause

When we wake up in the morning, it can be easy to instantly enter a “Get up and go” mindset. After all, everyday life can be hectic. It's important to take some time each day for yourself - and what better time to do that than right after waking up?

Make yourself coffee in your favourite mug, ground yourself with yoga or even spend 10 minutes doing something creative. Whatever it is, the key is to make sure that you are doing something for you.

3. Make a Nourishing Meal

As the saying goes: "Breakfast is the most important part of the day" and it's certainly true. Before you begin the day, it's important to make sure that you consume a nourishing meal full of nutrients. Besides being good for your physical health, you'll also find that you feel more productive.

Tip: If you struggle to find time to eat breakfast in the morning, why don't you prepare it the night before?
